Patna, Bihar February 28, 2025 The closing ceremony of Saksham 25, a national campaign to promote fuel conservation, environmental sustainability and energy efficiency was organized at Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries today. The campaign, which ran from 14th February to 28th February 2025, proved to be a phenomenal success, spreading widespread awareness and inspiring collective action towards a greener future.

Saksham 25, which was organized under the guidelines of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and in collaboration with the oil industry across the country, had the main theme “Clean Environment through Green and Clean Energy”. The campaign aimed to not only promote the importance of fuel conservation but also encourage people and organizations to adopt cleaner and more sustainable energy practices.

The Chief Guest, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, Executive Director and State Head of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and State Level Coordinator of the Oil Industry in Bihar, in his address presented Saksham as a movement that challenges citizens to rethink the nature of energy. He said, “This campaign is not just an initiative but a powerful call for every individual and organization to actively contribute towards a sustainable and energy secure future for India.”

Over the past two weeks, a number of programs and events were held across Bihar, including fuel conservation campaigns, debates, painting competitions, LPG safety and saving training, agricultural workshops and awareness programs at retail outlets, CNG stations and KSKs. The Saksham Cyclothon and public seminars were the highlights of the campaign, which brought people together to spread awareness and take concrete steps for a greener tomorrow.

The campaign also highlighted the growing importance of active citizen participation in bringing about change. While government policies and corporate leadership are important, citizens’ commitment has the power to transform ideas into action. Shri Choudhary further added, “Every small step, every conscious choice, is a step towards a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable world.”

The success of Saksham 25 demonstrates the power of collective effort. By engaging in fuel efficient practices, promoting clean alternative energy like CNG, LPG and electric vehicles and encouraging sustainable innovations, the campaign has laid a strong foundation for lasting change.
The campaign has now become a national movement. And it is up to each individual to take the message of Saksham forward. This is a movement that is not just a one-time initiative but an ongoing commitment to our future generations.
