National Postal Week- Vittiya Sashaktikaran Diwas (Bihar Postal Circle Celebrates National Postal Week)

As part of the ongoing National Postal Week celebrations, Bihar Postal Circle is celebrating today i.c. on October 11, 2024 as Vittiya Sashaktikaran Divas. Bihar Postal Circle is performing nation leader & opened almost 14.50 Lakh Post Office Saving Bank (POSB) Accounts in Current FY Upto 07.10.2024. Additionally. Department of Posts is focusing on Girl child. Special emphasis is being provided for empowerment of girl child through Financial Literacy among them. In Bihar Circle, 72 thousand new Sukanya Samridhi Accounts is opened in the current FY upto 07.10.2024. A total of 18 lakh SSA Accounts are opened in Bihar Circle so far.

It is a matter of great pride that Bihar Postal Circle is at itx itx peak performance under the splendid leadership of Shri Anil Kumar, Chief Postmaster General, Bihar Circle. As regards revenue under POSB category, there is a growth of 1022% in compare to previous period as on 31.08.2024. Similarly in the current FY, the India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) is also doing a very good business in its respective area. A total of 1.4 Cr. Accounts including 30 Lakh Premium Accounts opened in Bihar Circle. IPPB in disbursing DBT under different schemes of Govt. of India/Bihar to the Beneficiaries. A total of 1342.24 Cr. DBT is disbursed.

in Bihar Circle through IPPB Account which is also a pride for the Department of Posts. In the area of Postal Life Insurance (PLI) as well as Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI), Bihar Postal Circle is also registered remarkable growth. Upto 30 Sep 2024, Bihar Postal Circle has registered a growth of 20% in this segment. In this FY Bihar Postal Circle has procured new business of 15 thousand PLI proposal & 20 thousand RPLI proposal. This

is a sign of capturing the market share in the segment of Insurance in the state of Bihar.

On this occasion, all Postal Divisions also organizing Dak Champals to serve the last mile users at his/her doorstep & facilitating all services at a click.

Shri Anil Kumar has directed all Postal RMS units to provide the best services to the

Customers & also mentor them in financial stability by way of providing plan of investment. Shri Pawan Kumar, Director Postal Service (HQ) has also emphasised the need of Financial Literacy for every citizen & requested to take the service offered by the Department of Posts such as POSB, PLIRPLI as well as APY/PMSBY/PMJJY.
